Susanne James is an artist who resides in the Haliburton Highlands. She primarily works in pottery, but also has 10 years of experience with glass.
She is also an avid knitter, and has developed a popular line of pottery accessories especially for knitters.
In her work, Susanne seeks to evoke the beauty of her natural surroundings -- the water, granite and leafy forests of this Canadian Shield region.
For well over a decade Susanne has studied and worked with many artists, primarily at the Haliburton School of the Arts. Her work is featured in shops and galleries in the Haliburton area as well as at the annual summer Haliburton Tour de Forest. Susanne is a graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic institute in Toronto and a former technician and manager with Global TV and CBC-TV.
